Below are some easy step-by-step instructions on how to tie a bridal gown's corset-back:
STEP ONE:
Have the bride put the dress on and hold it in place around her bustline.
STEP TWO:
If your dress has a fabric back panel, ensure that it is fastened to the dress on one side. The opposite side of the dress panel will not attach as it will need to adjust as the corset is pulled close.
STEP THREE:
Start at the top right loop and lace the corset tie DOWN (from the outside, weaved in). Pull the tie through until approximately half of the tie is through the right loop. Repeat on the top left loop, as shown.
STEP FOUR:
Continue lacing the tie through the dress loops, from the top working your way down, alternating from left to right (as shown) until you reach the bottom.
STEP FIVE:
Once you reach the bottom, tie the base of the corset, and tuck the excess string inside of the dress to hide it.
